Simple Ways for you family or team to reach their fundraising goals
- Make sure all of your team members sign up by filling out a Hearts & Hands Walk for Autism registration form.
- Create a personal Team fundraising page at First Giving.com it’s fast and easy to do!
- E-mail everyone the link to your firstgiving page and ask them to support your team. In addition, there are widgets at First Giving which an be placed on blogs, personal webpages, websites, and social networking sites.
- Make sure to share your reasons for participating in the Hearts & Hands Walk with others. Sharing your story and why you feel supporting the walk is more powerful than just asking for a donation!
- Ask your son or daughter’s teachers, aides, therapists, and caregivers to join your team or to make a donation.
- Ask if your company offers matching gifts.
- Hold a yard sale or bake sale with friends, family and neighbors with all money raised going towards your team.
- See if you can have a "dress down day" at work and have co-workers donate $5 to dress down.
- Or ask if you can hold a “Weekend Fun Money” 50/50 raffle. Get Co-workers to buy raffle tickets with the winner getting 50 percent of the proceeds for weekend spending money and the other 50 percent goes towards your team.
I am sure you and your team members can come up with other great ideas for fundraising. And as always if you have any questions contact Jan Randall at 508-379-0371 ext 16
