  • Advanced Training for Group Instruction in the Social Use of Language
    Date:
    The course will be presented in three sessions on the following dates: December 4, 2007, January 9 & February 7, 2008 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
    Location: Espousal Retreat Center, Waltham, MA
    Fee: $400 AANE member/$445 non-member; $5 for ASHA or NASW CEUs

Elsa Abele will present an advanced, three-session course for professionals who run groups and who are seeking to increase their knowledge and practical skills working with individuals with social communication deficits. This course is appropriate for individuals who have taken Elsa's two-day introductory workshop, What Can I Say? What Did You Say? and would like to explore the topics more in-depth. Those who have not taken that workshop are asked to read Elsa's chapter (Chapter 11) in the book, Asperger Syndrome--Intervention in Schools, Clinics, and Communities(Edited by L. Miller and L.   • SNCARC Family Autism Center will be hosting  the following events: 2 Family Fun Days at the indoor recreational facility Kids Club Fun Land in Norwood, MA
    Date:
    January 27th 2008 and March 9th 2008 10:00AM to 12:30PM.
    Location: Kids Club Funland, Norwood MA

  • Introduction to DIR/Floortime: A Developmental Model for the Special Child
    Date: Mondays, January 28th through May 5 from 4:00PM to 6:45PM
    Location: Lesley University, Wolfard Hall, Cambridge, MA

The course offers 3 credit hours from Lesley University. Students may also be eligible to apply for Massachusetts Early Intervention Competencies.
