Will You Walk The Walk?

The 2006 Hands and Hearts Walk For Autism And Family Fun Day.

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006, 9:00AM to 1:30PM,, Bristol Community College, Fall River MA (click for directions).  The Walk & Family Fun Day will benefit Community Autism Resources and support their
mission to provide vital services to families at no charge. For more information on WALKING, being a SPONSOR or the FREE SERVICES that Community Autism Resources provides contact us.  Entertainment and food to be provided (food provided by Domino's Pizza of Fall River).  (RAINDATE: September 30th)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The two mile walk will start from the BCC Common adjacent to Parking lot 6.

• Sign in and pledge collection will begin at 9:00 am

• You don’t have to walk to attend the Family Fun Day!! Activities for children and families will start at 9:30 and run throughout the day!

• The C.A.R. Autism Awareness Store will be selling a wide variety of items including pins, bracelets, car magnets, t-shirts, and other items to raise awareness. There will be a great raffle as well.

• YOU DO NOT NEED TO WALK! Individuals who pre-register to walk or to attend the day’s events, and who raise a minimum of $50.00 will receive an official walk T-shirt. (1 shirt per person).

• Teams who pre-register will receive a shirt for each $50.00 dollars in pledges raised. One shirt per walker. (Example: a team of ten walkers must turn in $500.00 for each walker to get a shirt) TEAMS MUST TURN IN THEIR PLEDGES TOGETHER AS A TEAM.  Online Registration and Sponsorship forms available.

Walk & Family Fun Day Events & Activities

The Walk Committee & Community Autism Resources hope that parents, grandparents, family, friends & kids of all ages will join us September 23rd for a fun filled day!!  Visual Activies Aids of the day’s events will be available for anyone who needs them.

The days activities will include:

• Tic Tac Toe Toss

• Feed The Monkey &

• One on One Basketball

• Face painting/temporary tattoos

• Craft activities for the kids

• Bubble Creation Station

• Sensory Treasure Hunt

• Free Sno Kones & Popcorn

• A GREAT Raffle

• C.A.R. Autism Awareness Store

• A Bounce House

The Hearts & Hands Walk for Autism Planning Committee is looking for local businesses, companies and corporations to sponsor our 2005 HEARTS & HANDS WALK FOR AUTISM, AND FAMILY FUN DAY. This annual walk and family fun day benefits Community Autism Resources Inc., a non profit agency dedicated to providing a wide variety of vital services, at no cost to: children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their families and the professionals who assist them.

HERE IS HOW YOUR COMPANY CAN HELP!

Sponsor donations can be in the form of a check, or a donation of goods and/or services for the walk. There are 3 different levels of sponsorship listed below.

YGolden Heart Sponsors

Companies and business that donate $500.00 and up will be Golden Heart Sponsors.

• The name/logo of your business will be on the back of the official Hearts & Hands Walk for Autism t-shirts

•  Your business will be named as an Official Sponsor of the Hearts and Hands Walk on the Hearts & Hands Walk Brochure if your sponsorship is received by July 14^, 2006.

•  You will also be listed in The Interchange the Community Autism Resources Newsletter {This newsletter goes out to over 2400 families & professionals in approximately 85 cities and towns, from the South Shore area of Boston throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape & Islands.

• Your business will be listed as a Golden Heart Sponsor in the Walk Day Program

• You will receive two official Hearts & Hands Walk for Autism T-shirts in the sizes you choose

 Companies and businesses that donate $250.00 - $499.00 will be Silver Heart Sponsors.

Companies and businesses that donate a minimum of $50.00 - $249.00

• Your business will be listed as a Helping Hands Sponsor in the Walk Day Program and in the Community Autism Resources’ Newsletter The Interchange.
